Asymmetric roller shutters

Tehrol shutters are suitable for windows with an angle (slope) of 0.5° to 45°. The advantage of this system is that it can be adapted individually to the windows on the building. You can choose from different box models: front mounted boxes or boxes integrated in the façade.

Preparation of soffits

The method of preparation of soffits is very important with asymmetric roller shutters, since the box requires more space than the width of the guide rails.

BKS implementation

The preferred preparation of soffits for asymmetric roller shutters is one where the implementation of BKS can be employed.
In this case, the soffit is finished at an angle of 90° relative to the slope. This enables us to adjust the width of the roller to the window without any other special features.

BKG implementation

For improperly prepared soffits, we use the BKG implementation, where the box is extended on both sides over the guide rails. The length of the extension depends on the angle of the slope – the larger the angle, the larger the extension. In this implementation, it is still necessary to have a larger soffit for the box than for the guide rails!

MVP implementation

When the soffits are precisely tailored to the window lines, we use the MVP implementation, which is similar to BKG except that the outer edges of the boxes and the guide rails are aligned. We achieve a level surface by using wider guide rails and the larger the angle, the larger the guide rails.

Colours

You can adjust the colour of the shutter system to suit your facility. The guide rails, boxes and end slats come in a variety of colours from the RAL colour scale.

It can be made of aluminium, filled with insulating foam, available in various blind widths.

Control

Asymmetric roller shutters can only be operated with an electric drive. The TEHROL system enables the fully automatic control of roller systems.

Roller shutters help reduce energy losses through heating during the colder part of the year. An air barrier is formed between the shutters (when closed) and the window, which is an excellent insulator and reduces heat loss. The shutter slat itself also provides additional insulation, since it is filled with insulating foam. In the same way that they retain heat inside in the winter, they also help keep it outside in the summer. Again, they act as additional insulation, which prevents the penetration of sunlight and heat into the room. This improves wellbeing in the room without using any air conditioners or other cooling devices.

Aluminium slats, filled with polyurethane foam, help improve sound insulation. This has two advantages. Firstly, there is less noise coming from the outside. This will help you go to bed in the evenings or let you sleep in, even with noisy neighbours. Secondly, of course, the insulation works both ways. Closing the roller shutters reduces the possibility of neighbours or passers-by listening in on your private conversations.
