How to Clean Pleated Shades
Have you ever wondered how to best clean your pleated shades to keep them looking as good as new?
Don't worry, we've prepared simple instructions to help you maintain your shades in the best condition.
Pleated shades are typically treated with an impregnation that prevents dust and dirt from adhering to the fabric. Most dirt can be easily wiped away with a damp, soft cloth without detergent. They are also suitable for vacuuming with a soft brush attachment. In case of more stubborn dirt, pleated shades can be hand-washed.
Use a mild detergent suitable for polyester fabrics or liquid soap.
The most convenient method is to prepare a soapy solution in the bathtub and soak the entire pleated shade for a few minutes. Then, gently immerse the shade in water and wash by hand. Be careful not to wring or scrub with a brush, as this may damage the fabric.
After rinsing with cold water and gently wringing out excess water, simply reattach the pleated shade to the window. During drying, it should be folded multiple times to maintain its shape.
By following these simple steps, you can easily clean your pleated shades while preserving their beauty.
